About Climate Change Truth

Question? Is the climate of the earth changing?

Answer? Yes, it has been changing in many and sometimes extreme ways since a major world-wide disaster happened that not only began to change the earth’s climate but the surface of the earth as well.

This world-wide disaster was a flood of such major proportions that parts of the earth split open, volcanoes erupted in hundreds of locations in a short time and water that had been trapped deep below the surface of the earth began to rise to cover the existing continents.

This disaster has been referred to by many names in various cultures around the world. We often refer to it as Noah’s Flood. This took place about 4,500 years ago.

What is Your World View?

I write this as a Christian with a world view based on the history as we read it in the Bible, more specifically, the account of Creation in Genesis and the account of Noah’s flood. For most of my Christian life I tried to stay away from thoughts of how to resolve my Christian beliefs of salvation, Jesus and how we all came to be here. I have had a love of astronomy that started in the 8th grade along with interests in life “out there” and science fiction. How does all this fit together?

In recent years as the issues of Climate Change along with the explosion of building and installation of renewable energy systems like wind and solar have been in the news, I have found myself looking deeper into the roots of my faith and how my faith in Jesus Christ connects me to the world around me. About a year ago someone pointed out a scripture in the Gospel of John that helped me to see how my faith in Jesus was connected to creation as Moses described it in Genesis.

John 5:46-47 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?”

There it was, in Jesus own words, if I say that I believe the words of Jesus as recorded in the four Gospels I must also believe what Moses wrote about Jesus and His place in creation. This lead me to saying yes, I believe in the history of creation as Moses recorded it as a literal six day event in which everything was created from nothing by the words God (as Jesus) spoke them.

All the universe, stars, galaxies, planets and earth. The solid earth with water covering it and then plants and tresses, animals and on the last day of creation, man. Each of you reading this should be blessed to know that you were created in the image of God… not in the image of some distant grandparent of an amoeba or an ape. You and I are set above all other lifeforms and animals as the crown of God’s creation. As such, we were given directions to take care of the earth and all that is in it.

I Refer to this as The Genesis Mandate

Genesis 1:27-28 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

So this is my worldview. I now try my best to frame everything I say and do with the understanding that, each of us is created in the image of God. It doesn’t matter if a person believes in God or not. It’s kind of like gravity, even if you don’t believe it or understand it, gravity still affects you. History is history no matter what people try to do to re-write history, to change it or delete it from our understanding. Each month more is being understood about the history of earth, creation and the results of a worldwide flood.

I don’t pretend to understand it all. I’m not a scientist nor and engineer but I read lots and question many things. Sometimes I find answers and other times I find more questions. But my personal relationship with my creator Jesus and my faith in Him gives me peace to not need to know all the answers.

In the blog section of this website I will be posting articles that I find that both support my worldview and some that do not. There are many really, really smart people with lots of education on both sides of the Climate Change issues. There are lots of people who say that Climate Change caused by humans (anthropogenic) is bogus who believe that we are products of evolution. Sometimes I will post articles from these sources but that doesn’t mean I agree with their worldview.

I hope you will join me as we explore creation and our place here on earth together. My hope is that you will find this website useful in your search for Climate Change Truth and, that you will perhaps share some of the information you find with me on both sides of the issue.

A World Changing Flood

Genesis 7:11-12 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Will Oceans Rise and Cover the Land Again?

According to what God said to Noah after he and his family left the Ark, the boat that the Lord used to save them, the answer is… NO.

Genesis 8: 20-22 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done. “As long as the earth endures,
seed time and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease.”

God goes on to make further promises and a covenant with Noah about his future and the future of his descendants after him.

The rainbow is a sign of God’s covenant with Noah and all of us.

Genesis 9:8-17 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you  and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.
And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”
